DEKRA officially inaugurated its new Taiwan headquarters in Linkou, New Taipei City. This significant investment includes state-of-the-art lab facilities designed to bolster Taiwan’s role in the global markets for information and communication technology (ICT), connected vehicles, IoT, and smart automotive technologies. With an investment of NT$1 billion, DEKRA aims to strengthen Taiwan’s testing and certification capabilities across various sectors, including AIoT, Intelligent Automotive Electronics, Cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, enabling Taiwanese industries to meet the rising global demand.

Global Market Demands Boost Taiwan’s Advancement to the Next Level

Stan Zurkiewicz, CEO of DEKRA, stated, “With the sustained growth of the global market and Taiwan’s irreplaceable strategic position in the global ICT and electronic components supply chain, I actively promoted several key investments during my time in Taiwan from 2015 to 2021. I am pleased to return this year to inaugurate our new corporate headquarters in Taiwan, fulfilling our commitment and vision for the Taiwanese market. This TWD 1 billion investment has expanded our headquarters and laboratory facilities, and we look forward to enhancing DEKRA Taiwan’s certification technology and service capabilities in wireless communications, V2X, AIoT, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity to support Taiwanese industry clients in meeting the demands of the rapidly evolving global market.”

New Investment Bolsters Innovation and Technical Capability

Strategically located in Linkou to leverage its tech ecosystem and transport access, DEKRA Taiwan’s headquarters and 36 newly added labs join the existing 99 labs in Hwaya and Hsinchu, covering fields like EMC, automotive electronics, AI computing, cybersecurity assessment, and equipped with over 350 high-end equipment for reliability validation. This expansion further enhances DEKRA Taiwan's capabilities in both hardware and software infrastructure and testing capacity. The addition of new laboratories accelerates DEKRA Taiwan’s ability to provide a more comprehensive and advanced one-stop testing and certification service. Highlights of the new lab features include Taiwan’s only automated, high-frequency RF absorber system, only take 1 minute and 40 seconds to setup the absorber, enhancing testing speed and accuracy. The 10-meter full-anechoic chamber, designed without thresholds, supports VSCC-compliant whole-vehicle testing, meeting the high demand for automotive EMC testing in the market. On the other hand, DEKRA demonstrates its soft capabilities by holding a unique industry advantage with authorizations for CCC (Car Connectivity Consortium), MFi CarPlay, and CarKey digital key testing, actively supporting global car manufacturers and component suppliers in launching compliant products. Additionally, DEKRA provides integrated solutions for the automotive supply chain, including ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434, ISO 27001 / TISAX, and Automotive SPICE, comprehensively enhancing product safety and compliance.

Empowering Taiwan Industries a Secure, Sustainable Global Market

This substantial investment reflects DEKRA’s commitment to future-proofing Taiwanese industries. DEKRA Taiwan will deliver more comprehensive testing and certification services for smart automotive electronics, AI & HPC systems, cloud computing, and cybersecurity compliance, offering both hardware verification and software security solutions. This dual approach aims to sustain Taiwan’s global competitiveness and drive a safe, secure and sustainable future.
