Standards:

IEC/EN 60335-1；IEC/EN 60335-2-X

There are general standards (IEC/EN 60335-1) and specific standards (IEC/EN 60335-2-X) for Household Appliances. General standards are about general principles, of which all household appliances must meet those general requirements; Specific standards are specific provisions, of which different types of household appliances must respectively meet the requirements of specific provisions.

For example, an electric kettle is required to meet both IEC/EN60335-1 (general requirements) and IEC/EN60335-2-15 (specific requirements); if it fails to meet the requirements of either standard, it will not be certified.
